Through looking at topography I have taken it into my practise by focusing on 2 main points. Topographical surveying in the areas around the norfolk coast, looking at the amount of man made materials that are found within that area and highlighting the effects that these interventions are having on the environment. Then looking also into the study of the human mind and what brings us to create this destruction to the environment. My findings were expected yet equally disturbing as i found that over the course of a 10 foot square area there were 18 man made bricks along with an assortment of other materials that do not belong within in this landscape, glitches if you like. These findings were developed into prints in which can be found in my studio space and along with the graphs and notes made in my sketchbooks.
